Hi, I'm Eva...

bushcraft guide, forager, wild swimmer, qualified outdoor instructor, and founder of Wilder Horizons CIC.

My path to the wild didn’t begin in forests or by firelight though—it began in office blocks and busy meeting rooms, working as a project manager in the NHS. After four years however, something in me longed for more: more meaning, more connection, more life.

In 2022, I was chosen to take part in Channel 4’s survival series Alone. With barely any survival training, I was dropped into the remote wilderness of North-West Canada—utterly alone. For 23 days, I lived with the land: building shelter, foraging food, meeting bears, and learning what it truly means to be self-reliant, and to connect with the natural world in a totally new way.

Coming home, I couldn’t return to the way things were. The experience had rooted something in me—a quiet, steady pull toward sharing the total joy of wilderness skills and nature connection with others.

Wilder Horizons was born from that pull: a space where bushcraft becomes a way of remembering who we are, where women can feel powerful and at home in nature, and where the wild is for everyone.

"I cannot express how amazing the weekend event was. In stunning surroundings in the heart of a Welsh National Park I met some powerful and like-minded souls. The skills I have taken away are priceless. From a beautiful hike, wild swim, bread making, whittling a wooden mushroom and woodland knowledge, this weekend had it all. An unforgettable experience."
