Hi, I'm Eva...

I’m a passionate bushcraft enthusiast, forager, wild swimmer, qualified outdoor instructor, and the founder of Wilder Horizons CIC. Surprisingly, my journey didn’t actually start outdoors though—I began my career in the corporate world as a project manager. After four years in the office however, I found myself unfulfilled and unhappy, but with no idea what I wanted in life.

Then, in 2022, I was selected to participate in Channel 4's survival show Alone. With no prior survival experience and minimal skills, I faced the wilderness of North-West Canada... totally alone. For 23 days, I hunted, foraged, built my own shelter, and even faced off with bears—all while navigating the profound challenge of total solitude.

Returning home, I realised the experience had left a lasting impression on me and I felt a deep calling to share the knowledge and skill set I had gained in the wild with others. And so, Wilder Horizons CIC was born—a venture fueled by my passion for teaching bushcraft, fostering a connection to wild places, and creating an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome in the world of bushcraft.

"I cannot express how amazing the weekend event was. In stunning surroundings in the heart of a Welsh National Park I met some powerful and like-minded souls. The skills I have taken away are priceless. From a beautiful hike, wild swim, bread making, whittling a wooden mushroom and woodland knowledge, this weekend had it all. An unforgettable experience."
