Hi, I'm Eva...

Bushcraft guide, forager, wild swimmer, qualified outdoor instructor, and founder of Wilder Horizons CIC.

In 2022, whilst still working my job as an NHS project manager, I was chosen to take part in Channel 4’s survival series Alone. With next to no survival training, I was dropped into the remote wilderness of North-West Canada, utterly alone. For 23 days, armed with just a camera and ten survival items I lived with the land: building shelter, foraging food, facing bears, and learning what it truly means to be totally self-reliant.

Returning home, I found it impossible to go back to the way things were; the experience had changed something in me. I was braver, and felt both closer to the natural world and more disconnected from the busy, screen-driven culture of modern society. All I could think about was how I could share my new found skill-set and the joys of bushcraft with other women.

Wilder Horizons was born from that passion: a space where bushcraft and spending time in the outdoors becomes a way of remembering who we are, where women can feel powerful and at home in nature, and where the wild is for everyone.

Come, join me on the journey.

"I cannot express how amazing the weekend event was. In stunning surroundings in the heart of a Welsh National Park I met some powerful and like-minded souls. The skills I have taken away are priceless. From a beautiful hike, wild swim, bread making, whittling a wooden mushroom and woodland knowledge, this weekend had it all. An unforgettable experience."
