1. Can I get to your events without a car?

Yes! We know not everyone drives. For all of our weekend events, we create a WhatsApp group for attendees so that people can lift share or coordinate public transport options. Many of our venues are accessible via train or bus with a little planning — just ask if you’d like travel advice.

2. Can I bring my dog to events?

We allow one dog per event where the accommodation or venue is suitable. Please contact us in advance before booking to check availability and suitability for your dog. We love four-legged companions, but we want to make sure everyone — humans and dogs alike — has a comfortable experience.

3. Can my dietary requirements be met at catered events?

Absolutely. We can usually cater for most dietary needs and allergies. Please let us know your requirements when you book your ticket so we can plan ahead and ensure your meals are nourishing and safe for you.

4. Am I fit enough to attend your events?

Most of our events are beginner-friendly and focus on connection rather than competition. You don’t need to be super fit — just comfortable spending time outdoors and walking gentle to moderate distances. If you’re unsure about any specific activity, drop us an email and we’ll be happy to talk it through.

5. Do I need any prior experience in crafts or outdoor skills?

No experience is needed! Our events are designed to be welcoming for beginners, while still offering depth and discovery for those with more experience. We guide you through each activity step-by-step.

6. Who comes to Wilder Horizons events?

Our community is made up of curious, creative, nature-loving women of all ages and backgrounds. Some come solo, some with friends. Most people arrive as strangers but everyone leaves as part of a new adventure community.

7. Can I come on my own?

Yes — many of our participants come solo! Our events are intentionally designed to be friendly, inclusive, and community-based, so you’ll feel at home right away.

8. What should I bring?

Once you’ve booked, you’ll receive a detailed kit list for your specific event. Generally, you’ll need comfortable outdoor clothing, sturdy footwear, and any personal items you’d like for your stay. We provide all craft materials and group equipment.

9. Can I come on my own?

Yes — many of our participants come solo! Our events are intentionally designed to be friendly, inclusive, and community-based, so you’ll feel at home right away.

10. What’s included in the price?

This depends on the event, but generally includes all activities, materials, accommodation (for overnight events), and catered meals where stated. Travel to and from the venue is not included unless specified.

11. What’s your cancellation or refund policy?

If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Full details of our cancellation policy are outlined in our booking terms. We’ll always do our best to be fair and compassionate if unexpected circumstances arise.

12. What if the weather’s bad?

We embrace the wild! Our events run rain or shine, and we’ll adjust activities to suit conditions. We always prioritise safety and comfort, and there’s usually a warm indoor space to gather if the weather turns.
